This portrait of a meadow argus butterfly was inspired by the latest round of bountiful blossoms on our lemon-scented ironbark tree - for a couple of weeks there, the front garden was literally buzzing with all kinds of pollinators, attracted from miles around by these nectar-laden flowers.
I watched this little lady jostling for best position on a cluster of blossoms, paying no mind to the wrestling fiddler beetles, bees and wasps surrounding her!
