These shingleback lizards have to be one of my favourite reptiles, partly because of a fact that has stayed with me for years - they produce one to two live young instead of laying eggs. Essentially the babies are ready to fend for themselves not long after birth - this means that mama grows them until they are approximately 30% of her entire body weight! I just think that's incredible and can't even imagine carrying and birthing the equivalent of a 5 year old!!
6" x 6" scratchboard, beautifully finished in a black timber float frame without glass (17cm x 17cm) and ready to hang.
The scratchboard panel has been sprayed with several coats of an archival-quality, non-yellowing, U.V resistant satin varnish.
