I created this original pen and ink artwork in the final year of my Natural History Illustration degree. I've always admired this apex predator of the ocean, so I was thrilled to be able to work with a marine scientist to ensure anatomical accuracy. This piece went through many sketches and drafts before I was ready to start stippling (dot work).
