On our trip to Alaska in 2019, we made the most of the beautiful hiking and views, even if we had to carry our three year old some of the way. Towards the end of our trip, we made a day trip from Fairbanks to check out the Angel Rocks trail. It is one of the most magical walks I've done, mossy rocks nestled in amongst the birch trees right beside a pristine stream, and all manner of fungi and tiny plants growing in the crevices. It was somewhere I imagine that fairies would live, if ever they existed. I wanted to capture some of that magical essence in this piece.
